Announcement GTES Name Change to Spok
GTES has been a subsidiary of USA Mobility, Inc. since 2008. On July 8th the USA Mobility name, along with affiliated companies such as GTES, was formally changed to Spok, Inc. (pronounced "spoke"). On June 30, 2012 at 23:59:59 UTC (8 PM EST) an additional second will be introduced to UTC time.
This bulletin explains the potential impact of this operational event on GL3000 systems.

Bulletin 2008-01 GL3000 NET060 and NET360 Card Losing MAC Address
A GL3000 Network card uses a time clock battery chip to store its MAC address.
Due to age-related failure of the battery in the chip, the card can lose its MAC address.
